| SW Locums is a totally remote company. Since our conception in 2009, we have strived to have a minimal impact to the environment as possible. We utilise cloud services, communicating and supplying or product via electronic means and the telephone. All physical documentation is scanned to our servers, securely shredded and then safely incinerated or composted where appropriate. In 2021 SW Locums baseline calculation includes all our measurable scope 1 emissions based upon the use of fuel/electricity consumption on site. For scope 2 and 3 we include vehicle for company travel, train travel and the postage of annual gifts for staff. This was estimated against the approximate annual mileage and the figures generated by the external organisations used to distribute products. The introduction of Solar panels to provide charging of the electric vehicle and electricity to the business premises to reduce our levels significantly. We are looking into ways we can store the electricity produced by the solar panels for future use with the installation of a power wall.
Encourage staff to increase use of online methods of communication including online meetings.
We have purchased an electric vehicle for company use.
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2021 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 69.6 tCO2e, a 20%ge reduction against the 2021 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard[1] and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting[2].
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard[3].
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
