SW Locums are recruiting for a rare opportunity, which has arisen within Bedford Family Support Team.
The Family Support Teams hold CIN, CP, PLO and Care Proceedings work. the caseload is between 15 and 20, which is between 8- 10 families on average.
The Team works on a hybrid model however, request that all social workers are office based when on duty (once per week) and all visits are face to face.
Minimum requirements:
Knowledge and application of the values and principles underpinning children, young people, families/carers’ involvement, including the right to access independent advocacy and complaints processes.
Knowledge and application of the legal and policy frameworks and guidance that inform and mandate social work practice in Children’s Social Care, including where scope for professional judgement exists.
Knowledge and application of social work interventions in more than one area of practice, including critical awareness of current issues and evidence based practice research.
Knowledge of the principles and practice of mentoring with the ability to lead practice development and promote a learning culture. Ability to establish a professional network to support development of skills.
Knowledge and understanding of the Professional Capabilities Framework as it applies to the Experienced Social Worker level.
