SW Locums are excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a motivated and experienced senior social worker to join the vibrant and rewarding team in Childrens Services at Birmingham.  All Applicants must have had a minimum of 3 years UK experience in a similar posting. To meet with DfE Guidelines your 3 Years UK experience must have been in a permanent posting.

The ideal candidate should bring with them a wealth of experience in court work, planning for permanency, and writing CPR’s and Annex A.

You must hold right to work in the UK and a current Enhanced DBS Issued within the past 12 months or hold registration with the DBS Update Service.

Additionally, it is essential that they have a strong background in parenting assessments, viability assessments, and final evidence that can withstand scrutiny.

We are also looking for someone who possesses excellent risk assessment abilities and outstanding written work skills.

We are eager to find someone who can contribute to and thrive within our dynamic team.

Applicants must have extensive knowledge of: 

• Undertaking s47 investigations
• Completing CFA’s
• Working with children subject to child protection Plans
• Working with children on child in need plans
• Good report writing skills
