SW Locums require an experienced social worker to join our Safeguarding Adults at Risk Team in Dudley.
All applicants must hold Social Work England registration an an Enhanced DBS check issued within the past 12 months or be registered with the DBS Update Service.
The people the team work with have a history of self neglect. You will have experience is carrying out section 42 enquiries, mental capacity assessments, social care assessments, arranging safeguarding meetings and have a sound understanding of the Care Act. This is a full time rolling temp contract.
All placements via SW Locums are strictly undertaken following the governments guidelines on ensuring safety for individuals during the risk of Covid-19.
Purpose of the job:
Demonstrate experience of and a commitment to working in an inclusive way with professionals from other organisations and backgrounds, people who use services and carers (PCF2 & 7)
At least 3 years post qualification experience as a social worker
Where the post relates to a specialist area (eg Learning Disabilities) some experience in working in that area would be desirable
Demonstrate full compliance with all requirements of the Regulatory Body
CQSW,DipSw, SW Degree or other qualification recognised by HCPC
Enabling Others 1 & 2 or willingness to undertake training
Demonstrate willingness to undertake additional training to meet the requirements of the JD by developing an area of specialist expertise (eg AMHP; BIA)
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Legislation relating to ASC and specific Government directives and guidance related to your area of practice
Demonstrate an awareness of legal requirements with respect to record keeping and the use and transfer of information
Demonstrate a personal commitment to CPD
