Housing Officer Newham SW6432

SW Require a competent and well experienced Housing Choices Officer for the London Borough of Newham. The candidate is required for the  Homeless Prevention & Advice Team due to record demand and vacancies which we have not been able to fill.

Officers will work on back log of cases caused by staff leaving and longterm sickness.

This is a long term – ongoing position.

You will be expected to support people to sustain their homes and quality of life. Provide advice for safeguarding and health and well-being on a wide range of issues including housing, welfare rights, personal finance, hoarding, tenancy management, mediation, life skills and the promotion of personal independence.
