SW Locums are looking for committed social workers for a role based in Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. Within the team there are varying duties included as part of working within the Disabled Children’s Referral and Access Team, which acts as the front door to accessing specialist disability services.
Interviews are being undertaken via MS Teams. CCC is working flexibly and working from the office on a rota basis/as required for meetings, normally one/two days per week/as agreed by the Manager. Face to face visits continue to be undertaken.
Tasks include completion of eligibility and child and family assessments, safeguarding investigations, statutory child seen visits, being on duty completing necessary tasks within the office and in practice. This team is countywide and supports children from 0-19.

All applicants must hold a minimum of 3 years experience is required, with experience of courtwork and legal processes.
You must hold a current enhanced DBS issued within the past 12 months or be registered with the DBS Update service. If you do not have a DBS, SW Locums can process an application on your behalf free of charge.
You must hold current registration with HCPC/ Social Work England
The service is provided by Experienced Social Workers, who carry out statutory assessments involving home visits, consulting with other professionals / practitioners and agencies, gathering information for the assessment and analysing the potential risk to any child or young person.
After the completion of the assessment, the case is either closed or held to the point of transfer to the Long Term Locality Teams.
