SW Locums are looking to recruit UK experienced Social Workers who retain Social Work England Registration to work in Various roles in Medway.

The vacancies we have are:

MASH Team Manager 
Candidates will be required to work 2 weeks out of the 4, work 5 days in office. The other 2 weeks you would be working in the office Monday and Tuesdays only.

Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Previous experience in a MASH Team essential
  • A minimum of 2 years management experience
  • Qualified Social Worker with post qualifying training within a statutory setting.
  • Management qualification or evidence of appropriate experience and willingness to undergo training.
  • PEPS 2 or working towards (Desirable).
  • Demonstrable post qualification experience of working with children and families.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering professional supervision to social workers and other staff.
  • Proven experience in the application of ‘Signs of Safety’ (Desirable).
  • Demonstrable experience in child protection and court work.
  • Proven experience of performance management.
  • Provide experience in supporting student placements (Desirable).

 

CSWT Social Worker/ Senior Practitioner – working arrangements
Candidates will be working in the office on a rota basis. This means they will be in the office 1 or 2 days per week which is agreed in advance.

Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • 3-4 years post qualifying experience
  • Current employment in a Safeguarding Team
  • Qualified Social Worker with post qualifying training within a statutory setting.
  • Working towards Practice Educator (Stage 1 and 2), and/or management qualification, i.e ILM Level 3.
  • Demonstrable post qualification experience of working with children and their families (minimum of 3-4 years).
  • Proven experience in the application of ‘Signs of Safety’.
  • Demonstrable experience in relationship and strengths-based practice, working collaboratively with children, young people and their families.
  • Demonstrable experience of undertaking direct work with children and young people and being able to evidence understanding of the child’s lived experience.
  • Proven experience in child protection and court work.
  • Proven experience in one or more areas of practice i.e. contextual safeguarding, domestic violence, and have a broader knowledge of local and national resource networks.
  • Proven experience in providing expert advice and support to less experienced staff on aspects of casework and where appropriate act as a Practice Assessor for students on placement.

 

0-25 Team Social Worker – working arrangements
Only the duty team goes to the office at present, the rest of the staff work from home.

Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Previous experience in a disability team
  • Qualified Social Worker minimum of 2 years.
  • Successful completion of ASYE year together with two years’ experience of working with children and families.
  • Working towards Practice Educator (Stage 1 and 2) (desirable).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable post qualification experience of working with disabled children, young adults and their families (minimum of 2 years).
  • Proven experience in the use of  ‘Signs of Safety’ or a willingness to be trained.
  • Demonstrable experience of undertaking direct work with disabled children and young adults.
  • Demonstrable experience in child protection and court work.
  • Demonstrable experience in relationship- and strengths-based practice, working collaboratively with disabled children, young adults and their families.
  • Proven experience in one or more areas of practice and have a broader knowledge of local and national resource networks.
