SW Locums require an experienced, HCPC Registered Team Manager To work in the Child Exploitation Team in Southend.  Must have TM experience as well as hands on Adolescent or Exploitation experience and these are mandatory for this role and they will be training the partnership and being a champion in exploitation and so having that knowledge and keen interest is or paramount importance.

This is a full time contract role for 9 months initially, possible rolling contract.

Person Specification

Recognised Social Work qualification & registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC)

Evidence of continuing professional development inc management skills training

Management qualification ie CMS, DMS or similar

Extensive knowledge of methods of social work intervention, child protection and looked after children

Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation & key government initiatives.

Detailed knowledge & understanding of the framework for the assessment of children in need and their families & other social work tools

Knowledge of the principles of performance management

Knowledge of equal opportunities issues in relation to staff and client management

Experience at senior social worker level in children’s social work services with families with varying needs and complexities i.e. front line duty team, continuing care & court work, children with disabilities.

Experience of multi-disciplinary integrated working

Contribution to other professionals learning & staff supervision

Previous experience of staff management

Experience of involvement in the development of new initiatives
