SW Locums now have a number of opportunities available for skilled social workers to join the Assessment and Child Protection Service (ACP) in Swindon.
All applicants must hold a current enhanced DBS issued within the past 12 months or be registered with the DBS Update service. If you do not have a DBS, SW Locums can process an application on your behalf free of charge.
You must hold current registration with HCPC/ Social Work England
The ACP team undertake assessments and investigations of any issues relating to child protection.
The service is provided by Experienced Social Workers, who carry out statutory assessments involving home visits, consulting with other professionals / practitioners and agencies, gathering information for the assessment and analysing the potential risk to any child or young person.
After the completion of the assessment, the case is either closed or held to the point of transfer to the Long Term Locality Teams.
Minimum of 2 years UK experience in a similar role.
