SW Locums have an opportunity arisen for our local authority client in Swindon. The role is for a Senior Practitioner to work in the Emergency Duty Team (EDT) torovide an essential social work service out of normal office hours through the night-times, weekends and holiday periods, covering a rota of at least 129 hours a week.
You must hold a Social Work England (SWE) Recognised qualification and current registration.
All Applicants should be aware that the client is requesting a UK experienced worker with up to date current legislation knowledge.
You will be required to cover Local Authority statutory responsibilities in accordance with the Children Act 1989, the Mental Health Act 1983, and other relevant legislation, responding to urgent situations that cannot wait until the next working day.
You will be working with Service Users receiving direct contact from the public, professionals and agencies, ensure service users at an unacceptable level of risk are protected and made safe until the next working day.
You must be familiar with policies regarding the promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
