SW Locums are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work in Swindon Borough Council. The Worker must have a proven track history working in Mental Health and hold current HCPC Registration.

In Swindon the mental health social workers are seconded and successfully integrated within Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust which also hosts the rota of experienced AMHPs who have worked together for many years.

In order to ensure that the adult social care perspective is embedded and applied in all the integrated mental health settings in Swindon, we are seeking to find a locum Social Worker to work within Swindon Recovery Service.

The role will be based within Swindon Recovery Service. Working hours are 37 per week from 9 – 5pm Monday to Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and dynamic multi-disciplinary team based at the Chatsworth House in Swindon.

Swindon Recovery Service provides specialist mental health services to adults with functional mental illness across Swindon and comprises a multi-disciplinary team of Community Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, Therapists and Care Co-ordinators. They work closely with other disciplines and the inpatient unit staff based at Sandalwood Court to ensure a seamless service to our client group and their support network.

The post holder will therefore have experience as a social worker in mental health services with good knowledge and practice in working with the Care Act, the Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts, equalities and human rights legalisation. Our social workers are experienced and welcoming to new colleagues and the social work role is strongly valued by our health colleagues.
