The SW Locums Pledge

To all our customers and colleagues. We are delighted to assisting the move back to work and below we outline our procedures as the safety of our candidates, customers and colleagues is paramount to us. Since inception SW Locums have been a remotely working company, so many of our procedures already meet Covid-19 Government guidelines. This is the SW Locums Pledge.

SW Locums Pledge

  • We will be safe and healthy and we ask that you are too
  • We will clean our hands on entry and on exit of any property and to limit social contact we will ask that all internal doors are left open
  • We will practice and advise our staff to social distance where we must always be 2 metres apart, don’t be alarmed if we wear PPE or our candidates or clients wear or ask you to wear PPE.
  • We will use our extensive technology to limit physical contact wherever possible
  • We will never forget our commitment to talk, to you, with regards any concerns you may have

First, we pledge that only safe and healthy people will engage in placements via SW Locums. We will do everything possible to ensure those asked to visit homes will be fit and well on the day of the appointment with no signs of illness in the past two weeks. This includes any family the staff member lives with.

When we contact a customer to book in an interview or placement at the clients premises, we always ask if anyone in the property is showing any signs of illness and if so, for how long. If the anyone at the clients location has been unwell, we will ask how long the recovery has been for and what plan in in place to ensure safety for all. For example, if someone has had Covid-19 they must have no contact for 14 days.

We will advise our staff that they should try to insist that there will only be one person (excluding us) at any one time, carrying out any external home visits.

We will request our staff to wear a face mask and where appropriate and insist in our clients assistance to supply suitable PPE including face visors, masks and disposable gloves.

We will insist our staff ( upon entry to any property), wash their hands and/or we insist our clients may also apply sanitizer.

During any visits we will advise all parties to practice social distancing where they must always be 2 metres apart. Alternatively, if more appropriate the client may move outside while we conduct the check in/check out inside.

To assist in this, it is better to have left all doors open and this will reduce any touching of handles and doors although these could be wiped down after the visit with sanitiser.

To limit social contact, where possible, all paperwork and agreements will be signed online via docusign or similar verified document service. If that is not possible, we would book in an appointment for the individual to drop the documents in to the office or visit them at a Covid-19 free location, whilst maintaining social distancing. We would ask that these meeting times are booked in. Again, this is to ensure safety for everyone and avoid a number of visitors entering the office or coming into direct contact at any one time.
